Barbora Dayef

Artist enters the gallery space with an intervention, the typical constructionalism of which arises from both its own construction and also the model it utilises. She repeatedly works with references to ancient cultures, this time in the form of a Persian column. Using unglazed clay slabs, foam and fly ash blocks with embedded semi-precious stones, she connects topics which the contradictoriness of the materials underscores. Another aspect of her work is examining the opportunity afforded by raw clay in the field of performance. One of these performances, entitled Evidence-Based, was executed by Dayef with Sláva Sobotovičová during the symposium.
